Okrug town  – New Nekouz (3900 people).


     Nekouz municipal okrug is derivated in a 1929. It is located in northwest of Yaroslavl region and bounds with Tver region, Breytovo, Rybinsk and Myshkin municipal okrugs.

     There are 11 village administrations, 333 inhabited localities in the okrug.

     Main industries are fuel, food and light industry.

     Agriculture specializes on dairy cattle breeding and cultivation of grain-crops, long-fibred flax and potatoes.

     Political situation on the municipal okrug territory is rather quiet. Strikes, meetings and protest actions did not take place.

     Representative government body is the region assembly of the representatives. The presiding head of the municipal okrug is Savitskov Nikolay Anatolyevich.
