Economy and investment

     Economic growth is a main condition of stabilization of social situation and improvement of a material well-being of the population.

     In Nekouz municipal okrug fuel, food and light industries are represented as well as processing of agricultural products.

     The production in comparable prices by large and average enterprises in the okrug for the last years (1999-2001) grows stably. The situation with payments in the okrug budget is improved, in accordance with a realization of policy of restructuring and financial invigoration of enterprises and agricultural cooperatives.

     The programs of restructuring are based on the measures, developed by enterprises themselves and agreed with financial organs of municipal okrug administration.

     Analysing an economic situation in the okrug, all enterprises can be divided into three groups:

• rather successful enterprises,
• stably working (let even on a down level) enterprises,
• crisis enterprises.

     Municipal okrug administration, the assembly of the representatives select to each group of the enterprises the special methods to help.

     The ultimate goal of municipal okrug administration working in 2002-2003 is the qualitative improving of life of the okrug population. The prosperity basis is the effective economy.

     Main direction of administration activity is supporting of the industrial and farm enterprises.

     At the same time the output expansion is not main, the stable growth of wages is much more important. The wage level of the workers should ensure a worthy life.

     The fund of municipal lands and properties is attractive for investments, alowing to increase the budget incomes, so to increase a cost of a social sphere.

• Public corporation «Mikoms - Volga» (Volga)
• Public corporation «The Volga company» (Volga)
• Public corporation «Volga wool-spinning mill» (Volga)
• Close corporation «Nekouz» (New Nekouz)
• Kharin flax-scutching mill (Molkovo)

     Two largest investment projects:

• Expansion of output of milled peat on Mokeiha-Zybinsk peat factory;
• Creation of jobs on Nekouz garment factory.

     Free industrial places: :

• Industrial site of former brick factory (Shestikhino);
• The industrial and office sites of State motor transport enterprise (Shestikhino) for sale.
• The industrial sites of Close corporation «Nekouzskagropromsnab» (New Nekouz).
• The industrial buildings of Public corporation «Agropromdorstroy» (New Nekouz) for sale.
• The former brick storehouse together with branch line (Volga).
• There are free small industrial and office sites under the jurisdiction of Department on building and municipal habitations of Nekouz municipal okrug.

• two apartment houses (each on 18 apartments) (Oktyabr)

• apartment house (on 60 apartments) of Mikoms corporation (Volga)
