In the okrug the following medical establishments function:
Nekouz central okrug hospital (95 beds);
Borok academic hospital (75 beds);
Volga local hospital (15 beds);
Oktyabr okrug hospital (25 beds);
20 medical-obstetrics stations.
On the basis hospitals 3 ambulance stations are created. In the okrug 40 doctors and 150 medical staff persons are working. In 1999 the construction of new policlinic on 250 visits per day is begun in New Nekouz .
