Transport and communication

     The current state of communication facilitieses in Nekouz municipal okrug at 2002 looks as follows:

     157 settlements are telephoned, including 124 small settlement (up to 50 persons).

     Number of high-frequency communication channels is 522, including 444 digital communication channels .

     Total length of a cable is 1587.43 kms, including 921.297 kms of one-pair cable. The cable lines on the Nekouz territory operated more than 25 years, so the partial replacement and installation of the new cable are necessary. The construction of the new cable system is now in progress.

     In Nekouz okrug 11 radio centers work, including 4 radio centers with a multiprogramm broadcasting. In total there are more than 3000 radiopoints, including about 2000 multiprogramm radiopoint.

     Now the shop of communication renders the following services on communication: telephone service, cellular communication, telegraphic communication, facsimile communication, radio-access to telephone service, cable broadcasting, sale and repair of telephones and their accessories.

     There are two Internet-center - Nekouz and Borok. There are chosen numbers for connection of the individual consumers to the given service.

     The degree of development of cellular communication on the okrug territory is limited by installation of base station and antenna on 100 numbers in Volga. 24 users are registered at present. The standard of cellular telephones NMÒ-450, YARTELECOM/SOTEL. The construction of base stations in Myshkin and Breytovo is planned. This will allow to cover the intermittent reception zones at the Nekouz municipal okrug territory.
